PROTISTA TERDIRI DARI 3 KELOMPOK:

1.     PROTOZOA (PROTISTA MIRIP HEWAN)

3.     PROTISTA JAMUR

PROTOZOA DIKLASIFIKASIKAN MENJADI 4 KELAS :

1) Flagellata

a.    Dinding tubuh pellicle (pesikel) dan bentuk relative tetap.

b.    Bergerak dengan flagellum (bulu getar).

c.     Memiliki inti dan kloroplast dengan klorofilnya untuk fotosintesis.

d.    Respirasi secara difusi dengan permukaan tubuh.

e.    Ekskresi dengan permukaan tubuh, selain itu dengan vakuola kontraktil bagi yang hidup bebas, sementara yang parasit tidak ada vakuola kontraktil.

f.     Vakuola kontraktil selain sebagai alat ekskresi juga berfungsi sebagai osmoregulator (mengatur keseimbangan air).

g.    Bagi yang berklorofil holofilik dan yang tidak pencernaan makanan secara internal pada vskuols makanan.

h.     Reproduksi secara vegetatif dengan pembelahan biner

i.      Reproduksi generatif, sperma dan ovum mengalami fertilisassi menghasilkan zigot, lalu zigospora, kemudian zoospora dan terbentuk individu baru.

e.    Vakuola kontraktil berperan sebagai alat ekskresi dan osmoregulator (mengatur keseimbangan air).

h.    Contoh:

1.    Rhizopoda yang hidup bebas : Amoeba proteus, Arcella, Difflugia, Globigerina/Foraminifera, Actinophrys.

2.    Rhizopoda yang hidup parasit : Entamoeba dysentriae, Entamoeba gingivalis, Entamoeba coli.

3) Cilliata

a.    Dinding tubuh berupa pellicle (periskel), bentuk relative tetap.

b.    Bergerak dengan cilia.

c.     Memiliki inti dan beberapa spesies intinya lebih dari satu. Contohnya : Paramecium Aurelia.

d.    Respirasi dengan permukaan tubuh secara difusi.

e.    Ekskresi dengan permukaan tubuh, selain itu dengan vakuola kontraktil bagi yang hidup bebas, sementara yang parasit tidak ada vakuola kontraktil.

b.    Tidak memiliki alat gerak, bergerak dengan sel itu sendiri.

c.     Memiliki inti , pada waktu pembelahan ganda, inti membelah berulang-ulang. Setiap inti membentuk pembungkusnya dan dihasilkan individu baru yang cukup banyak.

d.    Respirasi dengan permukaan tubuh secara difusi.

e.    Ekskresi dengan permukaan tubuh.

f.     Tidak memiliki vakuola kontraktil karena hidupnya parasit.

g.    Merupakan hewan saprofitik (menyerap zat yang terlarut di sekitarnya).

h.    Reproduksi vegetatif dengan pembelahan berganda dengan banyak individu baru.

i.      Reproduksi generative:

dengan pergiliran keturunan. Fase vegetatif pada tubuh manusia dan fase generatif pada tubuh nyamuk Anopheles betina.

J.     Contoh:

Plasmodium Vivax, Plasmodium Malariae, Plasmodium falcifarum

ALGA DIKLASIFIKASIKAN MENJADI 7:

Klasifikasi Protista mirip tumbuhan berdasarkan piqmen warna, meliputi :

a.   Euglenophyta

Ciri:

1.     memiliki klorofil a dan b, juga ditemukan karotin sehingga dia akan berfotosintesis

2.     memiliki bulu cambuk (flagela)

Contoh : Euglena viridis

b.   Phyrrophyta (Alga Api)

Sering disebut Dinoflagellata

Ciri:

1.   memiliki 2 flagel.

2.   bersifat uniseluler,

3.   memiliki piqmen berupa klorofil a dan c.

4.   Memiliki dinding sel berupa selulosa dan ada juga yang tidak memiliki dinding sel.

5.   Disebut ganggang Api, karena mampu memancarkan cahaya (bioluminesens) pada kondisi gelap. Hidup di air laut dan ada yang di air tawar

Contoh : Noctiluca sp, Ceratium sp, Gonyaulax sp, Perridium sp

c.   Chlorophyta (Alga Hijau)

Ciri:

1.     Bersifat: uniseluler (soliter – koloni) dan multiseluler.

2.     Pigmen dominan: klorofil (klorofil a dan b), dan piqmen warna lain (karoten, xantofil).

3.     Memiliki dinding sel yang tersusun atas selulosa dan lignin

4.     Bentuk tubuh (benang, lembaran, dan berkoloni). Ada yang bersimbiosis (mutualisme) dengan fungi membentuk lichenes (lumut kerak).

5.     Berperan sebagai fitoplankton

6.     Reproduksi secara aseksual:

a.    pembelahan biner untuk yang bersel satu

b.    fragmentasi untuk yang berbentuk benang,

c.     pembentukan zoospora),

7.     Reproduksi secara seksual

Dengan konjugasi. Konjugasi adalah perpaduan gamet yang membentuk zigospora.

Contoh :

1)    Chlorococcum sp (uniseluler)

2)    Chlorella sp (uniseluler)

Berperan sebagai (Protein Sel Tunggal/PST).

3)    Spirogyra sp

Reproduksi secara seksual dengan cara konjugasi yang berlangsung sebagai berikut : Dua sel filamen yang berbeda jenis (+ dan –) berdekatan,  terjadilah penyatuan plasma (plasmogami), yang kemudian diikuti oleh penggabungan inti sel (kariogami). Penyatuan ini menghasilkan zigospora yang diploid. Zigospora bermeiosis menghasilkan empat sel baru yang haploid. Keempat sel ini biasanya satu sel tumbuh menjadi filamen Spirogyra yang baru.

4) Ulva sp

bentuk thalus (berupa lembaran), sebagai sayuran.

5) Chlamydomonas sp

Memiliki bentuk bulat telur, berflagel dua di ujung depan, kloroplas berbentuk seperti  mangkuk atau pita, terdapat stigma (bintik mata)

d.   Chrysophyta (Alga cokelat-keemasan)

Ciri:

1.    Ada yang uniseluler dan ada yang multiseluler

2.    banyak yang berflagel

3.    Memiliki piqmen warna yang dominan adalah  karotin, fukosantin (coklat kuning) dan piqmen warna lain klorofil a dan b

Contoh: Synura, Ochromonas, Vaucheria

e.   Bacillariophyta (Diatom)

Ciri:

1.     Uniseluler

2.     Dindingon sel mengandung zat kersik, sehingga sering disebut ganggang kersik atau tanah diatom

3.     Sel tersusun atas dua belahan, yaitu : wadah (hipoteka) dan tutup (epiteka)

4.     Manfaat : untuk bahan penggosok, bahan isolasi, bahan dasar kosmetik, dan penyekat dinamit, penyaring kolam renang

  Contoh : Diatom, Navicula, Cyclotella, dan Pinnularia

f.    Phaeophyta (Alga Coklat)

Ciri:

1. Tubuhnya menyerupai tumbuhan tingkat tinggi, bersifat multiseluler

2. memiliki piqmen dominan berupa fukosantin,dan warna lain xantofil, klorofil a dan c,

3. reproduksi secara metagenesis (pergantian keturunan antara vegetatif dan generatif). Vegetatif dengan cara  fragmentasi, zoospora. Sedangkan generatif dengan cara oogami (peleburan antar ovum dan            spermatozoid).

Contoh :

• Laminaria sp,  penghasil asam alginat (untuk produksi tekstil, kosmetik dan makanan)
• Sargassum sp,
• Fucus sp,
• Turbinaria sp,
• Macrocystis sp

g.   Rodhophyta (Alga Merah)

Ciri:

1.   Bersifat multiseluler

2.   memiliki piqmen dominan Fikoeretrin dan warna lain yaitu fikobilin yang terdiri dari fikoreitrin (merah) dan fikosianin (biru), klorofil.

3.   habitat di dasar laut

4.   seperti rumput sehingga sering disebut dengan   rumput laut (sea weed).

5.   Reproduksi secara  Vegetatif dengan  pembentukan spora, dan secara generatif dengan  peleburan antar ovum dan spermatozoid

Contoh :

Euchema spinosum, Glacilaria sp, dan Gelidium sp (Sering dimanfaatkan untuk bahan makanan (agar-agar) dan kosmetika) Gigartina mammilosa, Erytrophylum sp, Macrocladia sp

PROTISTA MIRIP JAMUR:

Protista mirip jamur dibedakan menjadi 2 filum,
yaitu:

1.   Myxomycota( Jamur lendir)
Ciri-ciri:

1.   tubuh vegetatif seperti lendir/plasmodium,

2.   tidak mempunyai dinding sel

3.   reproduksi vegetatif dengan
pembentukan spora oleh plasmodium

4.   Reproduksi generative: peleburan sporal berflagel

Contoh:

Dictyostelium discoideum, Physarum polycephalum

2.   Oomycota/jamur air
Ciri-ciri:

1.     hifa tidak bersekat melintang,

2.     dinding selnya dari selulosa,

3.     reproduksi vegetatif dengan pembentukan zoospora

4.     Reproduksi generatif membentuk Oospora

Contoh jamur ini:

Saprolegnia (parasit pada ikan), Phytophtora infestans (parasit pada kentang dan tomat), Pythium.
